Set up and use the eKaha mobile POS app on your Android device.

Mobile POS App

The eKaha mobile app turns your Android phone or tablet into a full-featured POS terminal.

Installation

  1. Download eKaha from the Google Play Store (or get the APK from app.ekaha.ph)
  2. Install and open the app
  3. Sign in with your existing eKaha account
  4. Select your shop
  5. You are ready to sell

System Requirements

  • Android 8.0 or higher
  • 2 GB RAM minimum (4 GB recommended)
  • 100 MB storage space
  • Internet connection for sync (offline sales work without internet)

POS Interface

The mobile POS is optimized for touch:

  • Product grid: Large, tappable product cards
  • Category tabs: Swipe between categories
  • Cart: Slide-out panel with current order
  • Quick search: Search by name or barcode

Offline Sales

On Standard plans and above:

  1. The app detects when you lose internet connectivity
  2. An offline indicator appears in the status bar
  3. You can continue processing sales normally
  4. All sales are stored locally on your device
  5. When internet returns, sales sync automatically
  6. No data is lost during offline periods

Thermal Printer Setup

Connect a Bluetooth or WiFi thermal printer for receipts:

#### Bluetooth Printer

  1. Go to Settings > Printer
  2. Select Bluetooth
  3. Pair your printer via Android Bluetooth settings
  4. Select the printer in eKaha
  5. Print a test receipt

#### WiFi Printer

  1. Ensure the printer is on the same WiFi network
  2. Go to Settings > Printer
  3. Select WiFi/Network
  4. Enter the printer's IP address
  5. Print a test receipt

Supported Printers

eKaha works with most 58mm and 80mm ESC/POS thermal printers, including:

  • Epson TM series
  • Star Micronics
  • Generic Bluetooth receipt printers (available on Shopee/Lazada)

Tips for Mobile POS

  • Use a tablet for the best POS experience (7" or larger screen)
  • Keep the device charged or connected to power during operating hours
  • Lock rotation to portrait or landscape based on your preference
  • Use a stand to keep the device at a comfortable angle for cashiers
  • Clear the cache periodically if the app feels slow
